Editorial Policy

How topics are chosen

We write about problems real printer owners actually report, in roughly the order they actually occur — first-layer adhesion, stringing, clogs, surface quality and filament care. We do not publish guides for problems we cannot source properly.

How research works

  • Official sources first: manufacturer manuals, support documentation and published specifications.
  • Community sources second: forum and community findings are labelled "community-reported" and never upgraded into manufacturer fact.
  • Conflicts are shown, not hidden: if two manufacturers publish different numbers, both are shown with their model and material context.

Testing disclosure

Print Fix Lab guides are research-based. Unless a guide explicitly says otherwise, its procedures have not been independently tested by us on a physical printer. That disclosure is part of our identity, not a weakness.

Corrections

If a source changes or we get something wrong, we update the guide and its dates. To report an error, contact us with the guide's title and the claim in question.

Independence

Print Fix Lab is independent. No manufacturer pays for placement, and no guide is written to sell a product.
